Louisa McMullon

BSc (Hons), MSc., C.Psychol.

Louise McMullon started her career in 2003 and qualified as a Chartered and Registered Psychologist in 2015. Louisa has an extensive experience of working within the field of forensic psychology, providing Forensic Psychological Risk Assessments and expert testimony, with both adult and juvenile offenders.

 

These include:

  • General Violence

  • Fire Setting

  • Sexually Harmful Behaviour

  • Extremism

  • Intelligence Scales

Louisa also has experience of providing clients with individual and group based therapies. Louisa specialises in helping people explore how past trauma, unhealthy relationship styles and personality difficulties may link to current problematic thinking styles and unhelpful coping behaviours, that are causing the individual difficulties in their everyday lives.

She has delivered bespoke individual therapy on clinical needs, such as: 

  • Developing Emotional Literacy

  • Aggression Management

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Bereavement

  • Self Injury

  • Suicidal Behaviours 

Louisa has led on group psychological interventions such as gang awareness, anger management, conflict resolution and social skills. Louisa's style is integrative, drawing on Trauma Informed approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Attachment and Schema Therapy. She has a specialist interest in working with adolescents with violent and other risky beahviours, taking a responsive, empathetic and non-judgmental approach to client relationships.

 

In addition Louisa offers supervision to Forensic Psychologists in Training.
