Dr Alexandra Gill

Dr Alexandra Gill has worked within forensic services for seventeen years and qualified as a Chartered and Registered Psychologist in 2015. Alexandra also holds a Doctorate in psychology. Alexandra is currently employed as a Senior Psychologist for HMPPS and is the Clinical Lead for a Discrete unit where she works with individuals on a one-to-one basis to provide bespoke psychological intervention tailored to the needs of that individual.
Alexandra has extensive experience of delivering psychological therapies in both a group setting and on a one-to-one basis to address a range of matters. This has included emotional regulation, managing relationship conflicts, living with difficult personality aspects or, aspects of mental health, such as depression and anxiety, recognising and addressing maladaptive behaviours, and helping people to address and process trauma including abuse. Her practice is evidence based and informed by a number of psychological approaches and models. This includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment theory, Schema informed therapy, Mindfulness and, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Alexandra is also trained in and an advocate of Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).
The fundamental principle of this approach is to help a person heal from adverse life experiences and their experiences of trauma. Alexandra’s specialist areas also include forensic risk assessments, assessments of cognitive and executive functioning as well as providing clinical and academic supervision and psychological consultancy
Aiveen Smith
BSc (Hons), MSc., C.Psychol., AFBPsS
HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, BPS Chartered Forensic Psychologist, and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.​
Aiveen is a HCPC registered Psychologist with over 11 years of post-qualification practice. Aiveen has extensive experience in conducting formulation driven psychology assessments and she has served as a professional witness in Parole Hearings throughout her career. Aiveen worked for many years in the criminal justice sector which has enabled her to develop expertise in policy design and implementation, consultancy and training. Aiveen also has extensive supervisory experience and is skilled in offering reflective practice to individuals and organisations. Aiveen has experiencing assessing for general violence, risk of sexual violence, personality disorder and executive functioning.

​Aiveen has extensive experience working with people with wide ranging and complex needs. She is highly skilled in developing individualised and evidence based therapeutic offers to support people through times of struggle. In addition to her psychology training, Aiveen has undertaken additional therapeutic training. Her practice is particularly influenced by the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). To support continued professional development and inform her therapeutic approach, Aiveen is also an active member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS).
In addition to working with people in times of mental health struggle, Aiveen has a keen interest in the role of values focused psychological support. Aiveen offers brief, targeted intervention to help people fulfil their potential and achieve true fulfilment in both their personal and professional lives.

Caroline Webster

Caroline Webster is a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years experience, working collaboratively in risk assessment and treatment.

Dr Laura Challinor

Dr Laura Challinor commenced her career in 2013 and qualified as a Registered Psychologist in 2019. Laura has experience working within the field of forensic psychology in a variety of settings, including low; medium and high secure hospitals, and working with youth offending services. Laura has experience of providing Forensic Psychological Risk Assessments and expert testimony, specialising in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities and other comorbid presentations.

Laura currently works in the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway at HMP Whatton within the ACORN Service. This is a collaborative service between the National Health Service (NHS) and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) providing a specialist service for individuals convicted of sexual offences with problematic personality traits who are considered 'stuck' in the prison system.
